Regular Premium range Troughs are the smallest of the trough series and available in a number of sizes. Because they are composed of Glass Reinforced Plastic, these troughs are ideal for small gardens, roof terraces, or balconies. Because they are seamless, the Regular Troughs are sturdy, durable, frost proof, rust proof, and light weight. They also have a very contemporary style and look wonderful in any garden or roof terrace environment. Simply add plants!
All GRP troughs are built from a mould and come in a variety of conventional sizes. If you don't see the size you need, check out our Window Box Planters, Large Troughs, and Extra Large Troughs, or contact us for a custom size price. Each Regular Trough is produced to order at our factory, and the thickness of the material used depends on the size of the trough. This can vary in thickness from 2 mm for smaller troughs and window boxes to 10 mm for very big troughs. Where necessary, additional reinforcing is utilised for larger troughs to guarantee that they can retain the requisite volume of soil or compost.
To create a continuous planting bed, all troughs can be cut out at the ends so that they can be joined together to create long planting beds when needed.
When planting troughs, about a quarter of the drainage media should be used, and each trough should be slightly elevated off the ground to allow for free drainage when planting outside.
All troughs can be finished in any RAL colour, including matt, satin, gloss, metallic, and special effect finishes like concrete. (See our page on impacts) These troughs can also be produced in company colours or with corporate logos for that additional special touch. 🇬🇧
